Solar Training Overview
Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Entry Level Installer Training is a one week (40 hours) course offered to individuals wanting to enter into the Solar Energy field. This training is designed to teach the learning objectives as outlined by the Electronics Technician Association (ETA) Entry Level Solar Installer Certification competencies, and prepares the student for the ETA Entry Level Solar Installer Certification Exam. Included in these requirements is hands-on lab training where each student must complete specific tasks related to Solar PV Installation.
This certification training requires passing a written test and satisfactory completion of a hands-on component that meets ETA competency requirements. These Solar PV competencies are presented and reviewed in this training course with emphasis as to Solar PV applications in the telecommunications environment. Solar Training Course Format
Solar PV Entry Level Installer training is a 40 hour course designed for both leader-led classroom instruction as well as hands-on lab exercises. The course is typically scheduled from 8:00a.m. until 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday. A course Study Guide is provided to each student that requires out of class reading and study to prepare for the ETA Entry Level Solar PV Installer Certification Exam, with one day of the week devoted to review and a second day devoted to hands-on skills training.
