Approved by the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA)

The ETA website states that the Electronics Technicians Association (ETA® International) is a not-for-profit, worldwide professional association founded by electronics technicians and servicing dealers since 1978.  Those dedicated professionals saw the need for an association that would be totally independent of any industry influences on its technicians.  The sole purpose of our association is to provide recognized professional credentials as a testament to an individual’s skills and knowledge in a particular area of study.

ETA’s Mission Statement reads as follows:

Since 1978, Electronics Technicians Association (ETA® International) has provided a third-party assessment of knowledge-based skills through certification. Aligning with the ISO 17024 standards, and collaborating with education providers and industry professionals, ETA provides the criteria which test the knowledge and/or hands-on skills needed in today’s industries. An ETA certified individual has achieved a minimum level of proficiency in their career field.

Our Broadband Telecommunications instructors are certified ETA Instructors and Administrators.  This means we are not only certified to provide quality training that meets ETA certification requirements, but that we can offer and proctor in-class ETA Certification exams as part of our training classes. This strongly supports Ameri-Skills’ mission to enhance the knowledge and skills of the American worker.

Communications Workers of America (CWA)

Ameri-Skills is proud to say we are members of CWA Local 9503.   Our primary officers are retirees from telecommunications and long-time members of CWA.  We continue this relationship now helping other members to gain skills that will help them achieve their goals.
